The state government confirmed that:
- The Umuahia Central Bus Terminal is nearly completed and ready for commissioning
- Supporting infrastructure for the Abia Green Shuttle Bus Service Scheme is already in place
- Facilities include:
- Charging stations
- Ticketing systems
- Bus shelters

Urban Renewal and Decongestion Plans

- The Isi Gate axis, known for congestion, is being targeted for decongestion
- Traders are being relocated to the Relief Market at Afara
- Temporary relocation to Okigwe motor park is planned pending completion
The Umuahia Capital Development Authority (UCDA) is leading these efforts, with compensation for affected landowners already fully paid. Infrastructure at the new market site is also progressing, including perimeter fencing and retaining wall construction.

- 1.2 km Amaekpu Ring Road (Ohafia)
- Afiankwo Isiama Daily Market
